Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account information: email address and authentication data, handled through our database provider, Supabase.
• Resume content: personal information, work history, education, certifications, and skills that you upload or type in, including any resume files you upload.
• Usage data: basic product analytics such as which features you use and how often, used only to improve the Service.
• Cookies: we use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, and remember your cookie consent choice. See Section 5.

2. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Provide and operate the Service, including building and rendering your resume(s).
• Send the contents of your uploaded resume or entered data to Anthropic's Claude API to extract structured data, generate summaries, or tailor a resume to a job posting, at your request.
• Enforce plan limits and provide customer support.
• Improve and maintain the Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers needed to run doda career:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Anthropic — processes resume content you submit to power AI features (parsing, summarizing, tailoring). Anthropic processes this data under its own API terms and does not use it to train models by default.
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure.

If you create a public shareable resume link, anyone with that link can view the resume content you chose to include.

4. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, correct inaccurate information, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email us at std3773@gmail.com. You can also delete your account and associated data directly from your account settings.

5. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and local-storage entries: a session cookie to keep you signed in, a cookie to remember your selected language, and a local-storage entry to remember whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. If we add features that involve tracking (for example, letting you see when someone views a resume you shared), we will update this policy and the cookie banner before turning them on.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and resume data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time, which removes your resume data from our active database, subject to backups that are purged on a routine schedule.

7. Changes to this policy

doda career is in active development. We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes, especially before launching any feature that affects how data is collected or shared. We will update the effective date above when we do.
